The Garnet men's soccer team traveled to Buenos Aires this summer for pre-season training. As part of the trip they took part in a community service project, which included painting a children's playground and (what else?) playing soccer with the boys. The soccer games quickly became heated, and what had begun as "orderly" soon degenerated into fun rivalry.
"You'd look around, and they'd be swimming around you!" Omari Faakye '10 laughed, his friend, Ernesto Manzo '11, adding, "It was more like rugby. They would pick up the ball and run, so we'd do the same, and pretty soon it was a free-for-all. They were so into it!"
